Set as a period piece, three generations back, as a somewhat "domestic comedy". It's a story about a woman who wants nothing more than to get her 'spinster' daughter married, be appreciated by the city's elite, and live a normal life. The fact that her brother's best friend is a large invisible rabbit, and that he controls the purse strings of the family, is of no help.
She sets out to have him committed, and finally comes to appreciate her life for what it is. |
